Final Message

As I write this final chapter from Ambergris Cay in Belize, I hope it is not the last episode of our great nation. I watched the election results in horror and like a lot of you, was not only shocked, but saddened by what has happened to our country. It occurred to me not to return to the United States because I do not want to live under an increasingly oppressive fascist government. The government in Belize seems to be far more honest. Sure they are terribly corrupt, but they don't pretend that they aren't as they do in the United States. Then I realized that it is my home, and my duty is to defend it.

I understand now that there are far more parasites in this nation than most of us realized; the recent election providing the proof - unless of course the charges of voter fraud were true, in that case the situation is even worse.

We elected an obviously dishonest, economically inept Marxist back into the white house. Further proof of what is wrong with our country. All the more reason to act and act RIGHT NOW.

The voters didn't seem to care that it was easily documented that the newly elected Biden had lied continuously in the debates against his challenger, or that the mediators helped perpetuate the lies, and that his family is horribly intenrationally corrupt. They didn't care enough even to look it up. They don't care that he appointed dozens of unaccountable czars to regulate those of us who work for a living. They don't care because he is their guy, the one who promises to give them more stuff than the other guy would.

It could be that we just voted for the annihilation of our civilization as we know it. It is becoming sadly apparent that the tipping point has been surpassed; there are more people taking from the country than willing to provide for themselves. We have more Marxists than freedom-loving Americans.

The vote proved that many are not concerned about a strong economy. Their only worry seems to be to stay on the preferred list of government dependents. They don't vote for a job-creator likeDonald Trump because they really don't want jobs. They want their personal stipend to continue; whether it be welfare, food stamps, fuel assistance, Stimulus payments, aid to dependent children, continuing disability payments, empty government jobs, or any other of a myriad of selfish gimme perks - or a combination of all of them.

To them, a healthy private sector, a free economy with limited regulation and lower taxes, a smaller more affordable government is completely irrelevant. They don't care that the president has no idea how to encourage a free market because they don't intend to participate in it.

They don't concern themselves about the job market, or the rate of unemployment, because they really don't want to have to get a job since they can live adequately without one.

They don't worry about our soon to be over 30 trillion dollar national debt, because they believe that they won't have to pay any of it. It doesn't matter if it reaches $100 trillion, or how many hundreds of thousands of dollars that may cost taxpaying families. It is meaningless as long as their checks keep rolling in. Providing is someone else's problem. How it is paid is of no concern.

No Matter

It doesn't matter how we got here, but to deny we are in trouble is irrational. We have no choice. To continue down the road we’ve been traveling for the past century will bankrupt the nation as similar policies have done and are doing all over the world. We can blame the forefathers for not making it more clear, we can point to the likes of Wilson, Roosevelt and Johnson, for encouraging and perpetuating the welfare ..er “Entitlement” state. We can blame the legislators and the courts for twisting the Constitution into an unrecognizable insignificant historical afterthought.

It doesn't matter. We are here and we have to return to the days of self-reliance, independence and prosperity - or perish. The only reasonable description for such an approach would be a “Regressive Movement”.

Each of the remedies in this book would make a big impact in our lives almost immediately. If we eliminated welfare state as we know it, instituted the Fair Tax, restricted eminent domain seizures, stopped wasting time and money imprisoning people for victimless crimes, pay government workers fairly rather than excessively, - and hire only those we actually need to serve us, and institute a few of the other measures, we would be far more prosperous, safe, independent and free.

Each of the problems affecting us enumerated in this text in some way benefits those in power, which is why we have the problems in the first place. Our objectives are truly in complete diametrical opposition to those of our rulers – we must address them immediately:

- Welfare –

huge voting block of government dependents who demand their right to other people’s stuff – and vote for it. By granting wishes, leaders are idolized. Better for them. The more it is encouraged, the greater the power of the administrators, the better for them. The more it is reduced, the more limited their power, the less expensive, and the better for us. Has to be done slowly, or it can't be done.

- Illiterates voting –

mostly they want government benefits, and who best to provide them? Uninformed and uneducated voters more easily believe government can provide their Utopia forever. Better for them to have more uneducated voters, worse for us to have our votes cancelled by a multitude of illiterate government beneficiaries.

- Government workers and pensions –

The more their friends and relatives that can be absorbed into the public sector "workforce", the greater their power and influence, and again the more expensive it is for us. Often they help their bosses get re-elected, or re-appointed – better for them, not so much for us. Eliminate this class warfare by being fair to all the children, don’t favor the chosen government offspring. This too must be gradual or the uprising will be too great.

- Usurping individual and property rights one by one and in bunches – who decides what we can and can’t do? When a ruler is able to dictate day to day living, more power to them – less to us.

- Tax Laws –

Congress can manipulate them for their voters, employees and campaign contributors. Complexity is better than simplicity. Simple and minimal is better for us, complex and greater amounts is better for them.

All of the power gained through continually increasing control would be reconsidered if the leaders were forced to get out of government and live with the rest of us. If they couldn’t rule forever they may want to pay less for welfare, and demand smaller government at every turn. They may not want to have to deal with the IRS. Maybe they would even believe government pay and pensions are just a little too exorbitant and unfair for the work load required of them. Perhaps it would irritate them if their ignorant illiterate neighbor’s vote was the one that mattered in an election. Serious changes would be made if only congress had to live with us.

Maybe we need only one major change

– Term Limits -

If we can get that, they would very likely move to implement most of the others for us because it would be in their enlightened self-interest to do so.

It is no coincidence that so many congressmen and senators have stayed for so long after the turn of the 20th century. It is such a tremendous gig, why would anyone voluntarily leave? We must force them out to save ourselves.

Face reality

The reality is we can't completely regain our country without limiting our representatives. Even if an Enlightened Regressivist conservative wins the next presidential election, it won't be permanent, it will only slow the process. None of these changes can happen with lifetime politicians at the helm who continually benefit personally from that which destroys the nation.

Each of the regressive reforms usurps power from them and returns it to where it belongs, where it was intended to be. We can't expect elected officials to approve of a limitation on their own power and influence unless there is something in it for themselves. They have families; they want the best for them, which is unfortunately to take as much from us as is possible. Only term limits will enable us to fully accomplish our objectives, we must do it without them; we can do it if we appease them.

We can't just elect new and different representatives who may realize that the welfare state has to be gradually dismantled, government must become much smaller, public jobs and pay must be seriously curtailed and the Fair Tax should replace our horrific Internal Revenue Code. They may want to do all of those things, but they can't as long as there are men of unlimited power running the show. When the newbies stay long enough, they just morph into the new problem. Out with the old, in with the new old. Thomas Hobbes was right and our forefathers were wrong not to have seen this coming. – But they left remedies for us to follow.

Only by limiting the power of our out-of-control representatives can we hope to bring back our freedom. The way to limit them is to systematically remove them, one by one and in bunches; the same way they’ve stolen our freedoms.

The most rational method is calling for a state constitutional convention for the purpose of limiting congressional terms. Sure that could bring out all sorts of demands from the “gimme” generation like constitutionally free TV, cars, cell phones, electric bills, etc. They could argue that their desire is a basic “need” and so therefore is someone else’s responsibility to provide. In this rapidly socialist leaning society they will likely try it; but we have to take this chance. There are more hard working honest capitalists remaining who understand and have been taking a lot of notes lately. We must trust them because we have to, we have no choice.

Starting with local involvement and term limits we can gradually implement all of the changes outlined here because our leaders will eventually want them too. The best permanent economic stimulus is to create a new legislature over time who will want for their families the same things we want for ours. Only then will we be able to take the steps necessary to correct this mess, unless of course you vote for me to be king, in which case I would take care of all of this in a few weeks.

You can and must help

There is something you can do. Start at the local level. Get a friend or two of like mind and propose to your local city or town council any or some of the ideas here. Suggest for example that there are too many local laws. "Everyone agrees" is a good way to start the discussion. Is there anyone who would disagree that we have too many laws? Even the liberals know that. They have to be reigned in. It is time to limit the quantity; for every new law, two must be removed. Maybe you only get a compromise, a replacement of one for one, but that is still progress.

Demand that property rights be preserved and that in your town eminent domain may not be used to destroy property rights and increase tax revenue. Local property owners will approve of this, others will see the reasoning.

Do not propose firing any government employees. That will not be taken very well at a government town meeting; just recommend fully funding all of them before any new ones are hired - pensions and retirement benefits included. If they do the math, your town would likely not be able to hire anyone new for decades.

Put a bug the ear of your state representative. Grab his lobe and hang on any way you can. Suggest a state constitutional convention about congressional term limits. He may not realize he can do this, educate him. It is in our Constitution because our founders were wise enough to recognize that we may have to change a few things without the help of those already in Congress.

Start at your local level. Make your town one the lead stories in the news for "regressive" policies. Let the national press bash you for your prehistoric philosophy, be proud of it. Stand up and be counted.

Demand local compliance with our Constitution; call for limited government, less taxes and more individual responsibility.

The mandates outlined above are not the only good ideas. As I mentioned earlier, to my knowledge, I have not been divinely inspired. Look at what your town or county is doing, and bring your own ideas to limit government to the discussion. Demand what needs to be done on your local level. Just a handful of people at a town meeting can make a difference.

Don't give up, but remember that our great and powerful leaders always seem to have a very good reason why they can’t figure out a way to implement any of the above suggestions on the regressive agenda; "too many people would be hurt", "we can't sacrifice the poor", "it is unsafe", "now is not the time".

Now is the time. Don't let them get away with those tired old excuses. When they tell us why it can't be done, call them out on the real reason never uttered; "power and control". Power and control is almost always the unstated reason governments limit individual freedoms.

Lets hope we can avoid Plan C. No one wants an armed revolution, but there are groups discussing this already. It is becoming very frustrating for all of the producers in this country to have to bow to the demands of the unproductive dependent classes.

In what universe does it make sense for the least productive of the populace to dictate national economic policy, tax levels, and regulatory laws? This is akin to parents allowing themselves to be dominated by the three young selfish children who claim, "Sure, you bought the house, you work every day, you buy our clothes and food, but there are only two of you, there are three of us, - so we want more ice-cream - you get it for us ... or else."

At some point enough will be enough. If the current occupier of the White House conspires with the United Nations to force the repeal of the Second Amendment, all bets are off here. Producers feel enslaved by those who are just feeding at the public trough. Slavery by class is no different than slavery by color.

Slave drivers rarely release their captives voluntarily. Why would they? It is up to us to actively work to regain our freedom. We must begin now or perish under the weight of the dependent classes. There is no other option.

In the event the reason of Enlightened Regressivism fails, we can't make enough headway to regain our freedoms and independence, and we descend into the abyss of irreversible national socialism and communism, remember there is always Plan B.

A divorce from the left wouldn't really be so bad. Many states residents have already started and even sent petitions of secession to the White House. This is a serious issue. Other countries have managed it, and it is much preferable to armed revolution. How much could we accomplish without the interference from the left? Maybe they are arrogant enough to believe they would be better off without us? We can hope so. We should at least ask. Could we possibly arrive at an amicable split?

Attend your local meetings and bring the logic of Enlightened Regressivism to their tables. Stop the national death spiral if only in your town, - people will notice, it will spread. Common sense and logic always wins eventually.

Contact your state legislature and demand a state constitutional convention for the purpose of limiting United States Congressional terms. They are the only ones who can do it. If they don’t realize they can initiate this, refer them to the U. S. Constitution, Article V - they can.

The alternative to reversing this trend is to surrender our children and grandchildren to the near omnipotent rulers we have today who promote more and more intrusive and Draconian socialistic methods which will enslave our heirs for generations to come.
